"Most impressive in this collection are the amazing 19th century jewels and dazzling gemstones. Of special note is a necklace whose origins can be traced to the sale of the French Crown Jewels in 1887 and whose diamonds once adorned the ravishing young Empress Eugenie the day of the christening of her son, the Prince Imperial. Among the splendid gemstones assembled here is a magnificent assortment of diamonds, including a rare heart-shaped stone of fancy deep blue color.
Outstanding among the colored stones is a very beautiful emerald ring by Van Cleef & Arpels. Completing this collection is a wide variety of daytime jewelry and items of great style."
