ASSEMBLED BY A DEDICATED SWATCH COLLECTOR OVER THE YEARS, THIS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST SWATCH COLLECTIONS IN PRIVATE HANDS EVER KNOWN. COMPRISING OVER 5,800 SWATCH WATCHES FROM 1983 TO 2008 AND BEYOND, FEATURING RARE AND EXCLUSIVE PROTOTYPES, LIMITED AND SPECIAL EDITION, ALONG WITH METICULOUSLY COLLECTED ARTWORK RELATING TO SWATCH DESIGNS. THIS COLLECTION INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 5630 STANDARD SWATCH, 45 PROTOTYPES AND 19 MAXI SWATCH.
mportant Watches Spring Sales on 7 April achieved a combined total of HK$150.7 m / US$19.3 m, the Third Highest Total for the Category at Sotheby’s Hong Kong. On average nearly 90% sold by value and half of the lots sold above high estimate. The top lot, “Swatch & Art from the Dunkel Collection”, the largest Swatch collection ever sold at auction, sold for HK$46.7 m / US$6 m to an European Institution. The second top lot, Patek Philippe Pink Gold Minute Repeating Instantaneous Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Wristwatch Ref 5207R, achieved HK$4.76 m / US$610,000.
